Self Introduction

Hey everyone! My name is Taylor Lawrence soon to be Taylor VanDyke on October 18, 2013!!

2. If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it? A day in the life of Taylor Lawrence. I chose this because I tend to think that my life is extremely hectic and eventful.
3. Tell us one of your favorite joke. This is not my favorite because I don't really have one, just thought it was funny... What did the guy at the rubber band factory say when he lost his job? OH SNAP!

4. Tell us what subject you teach, years of teaching, and how far you are in the MSIT or Teacher Education program. I teach Mathematics grades 7-12. I am a first year teacher at Kaplan Academy in New Windsor, NY. I work with severe emotional and behavioral issue students. After this semester I will be half way done with my Master's program.

5. How much do you know about teaching language arts? I do not know much about teaching language arts since that is not my strongest subject. However, my best friend is an English teacher as well as a literacy specialist so I am sure she can inform me of a few things.
6. How much do know about "new literacies?" I really do not know a lot about new literacies.

7. What are your concerns about taking this course? I just hope that I do not fall behind in work since I am taking another online class as well this semester.
