UDL Bookbuilder Project

The book I created was for around a second grade level. I thought that this would be a good topic to talk about with younger children because a lot of them go through this when their parents have other children. It could lead into a discussion about their families and help the teacher get to know the students a little better.
I think that ELA teachers can use this in the classroom to introduce a story or novel that they will be reading. They can make a story that is related to topics that are being discussed in the story they will be covering. That way this will open up a discussion that they can have to familiarize the students with these topics before the begin reading the novel or story.

  1. I really enjoyed the book. It made me think about the story my mom always tell about me becoming a big sister. I felt the same way the girl did in the book. Great book and I definitely know the kids will enjoy it.

  2. I love this book!!! I love the images you selected. This book would definitely be a good read for younger students because lots of small children are faced with the issue in book. Some students don't know how to deal with sharing their parents attention with a younger sibling. Your book could definitely give the little ones some insight into coping with the change.
